Overview

Job duties:

• Wash, peel and cut vegetables, fish, fruit and other ingredients
• Cook and mix rice
• Wrap and cut sushi
• Package take-out food
• Portion and wrap foods
• Assist with making party-tray, chicken-don and other food
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Handle and store cleaning products
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Sharpen kitchen knives
• Other duties as instructed by the owner

Requirements:

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience; Basic English; Own transportation;Valid driver license; Reliability; Initiative; Dependability; Positive attitude; 1-7 months experience; Food handler certificate; Can work for at least two years.

Full-time; Fast-paced environment; Handling heavy loads; Physically demanding(Up to 23 kg ); Repetitive tasks; Standing for extended periods; Work under pressure; Attention to detail; Day, Early Morning, Morning, On Call, Shift, Weekend.

Salary and benefits:

15.20 hourly / 32 to 40 hours per Week, 22.8 after 48 hours/week ; 14 days vacation or 4% of gross salary; CPP, EI, work safety; Free parking.
