Overview

A purchasing and inventory clerk assistant is responsible for the following duties:

  1. Oversees and maintains optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands.
  2. Manages the processing of purchasing orders, tracking their progress and resolving any encountered issues.
  3. Documents all purchases, updating the database, conducting physical inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies with reports.
  4. Handles the receipt, unpacking, and distribution of goods, ensuring timely restocking as required to uphold seamless operations.
  5. Disposes of obsolete inventory and implements proactive measures to avert supply shortages.
  6. Engages with suppliers, coordinating delivery schedules, addressing any missed deliveries, and resolving related concerns promptly.
  7. Maintains organized purchasing fi les, reports, and price lists, ensuring their accuracy and completeness before forwarding them to the supervisor.
  8. Creates, updates, and manages supplier fi les, recording pricing information to facilitate informed decision-making.
  9. Place stock on shelve
  10. Pick up and deliver materials
  11. Unpack goods received
  12. Undertakes additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.

We welcome applicants who meet the following requirements:

  • Education: secondary school and above
  • Physical demanding, own vehicle, valid driver license
  • Computer skills, be familiar with inventory control software, MS Word, Spreadsheet, MS Windows and MS Office
  • Experience an asset

Job type: FT, 8 hours/ day, 4-6 days/week
Salary and benefit: 23/hour, CPP, EI, extended medical insurance
