Overview
A purchasing and inventory clerk assistant is responsible for the following duties:
- Oversees and maintains optimal inventory levels to meet operational demands.
- Manages the processing of purchasing orders, tracking their progress and resolving any encountered issues.
- Documents all purchases, updating the database, conducting physical inventory counts, and reconciling discrepancies with reports.
- Handles the receipt, unpacking, and distribution of goods, ensuring timely restocking as required to uphold seamless operations.
- Disposes of obsolete inventory and implements proactive measures to avert supply shortages.
- Engages with suppliers, coordinating delivery schedules, addressing any missed deliveries, and resolving related concerns promptly.
- Maintains organized purchasing fi les, reports, and price lists, ensuring their accuracy and completeness before forwarding them to the supervisor.
- Creates, updates, and manages supplier fi les, recording pricing information to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Place stock on shelve
- Pick up and deliver materials
- Unpack goods received
- Undertakes additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.
We welcome applicants who meet the following requirements:
- Education: secondary school and above
- Physical demanding, own vehicle, valid driver license
- Computer skills, be familiar with inventory control software, MS Word, Spreadsheet, MS Windows and MS Office
- Experience an asset
Job type: FT, 8 hours/ day, 4-6 days/week
Salary and benefit: 23/hour, CPP, EI, extended medical insurance
