Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $30.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 146 Main St, Fredericton, NB E3A 1C8

Job Duties:

·         Prepare complete meals that meet the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards

·         Monitor inventory and arrange restocking of food and kitchen supplies

·         Uphold kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards that align with health and safety regulations

·         Mentor cooks in cooking techniques, plating, and food handling

·         Train kitchen staff in cooking techniques and safe kitchen practices

·         Adjust dishes based on customers’ dietary or allergies requests

·         Assist in menu development by providing suggestions for seasonal or specialty dishes

 

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
