Position Info:

  • Position: Assistant manager – retail
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $42.31~$44.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions:  1
  • Work Location: 1 Progress way, Warren, MB R0C 3E0

Job Duties:

  • Plan, direct, and evaluate retail operations
  • Determine the products and services to be offered, and implement pricing and credit policies accordingly
  • Monitor revenues, authorize expenditures, and assist in planning and managing operational budgets
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales
  • Analyze market trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors’ operations on sales
  • Manage staff by assigning daily duties, monitoring performance, and providing guidance
  • Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, training, and retention efforts
  • Source merchandise and negotiate with suppliers when necessary
  • Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues

 

Job requirements:

  • Experience: 3~5 years of related retail or wholesale sales experience at increasing levels of responsibility are usually required
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required
  • Language: English
