Job Duties:
Operate heavy equipment such as backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities
Maintain equipment and preform regular maintenance as well as keep logs
Operate heavy paving and surfacing equipment to lay, spread or compact concrete, asphalt and other surface materials during highway and road construction
Operate compact equipment to prep surfaces for concrete installation
Operate heavy equipment to move, load and unload cargo
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
Other duties that apply

Job Requirements:
Trade certification for heavy equipment operator is an asset
3 years of experience is an asset
Punctual
Attention to detail
Must be able to pass drug testing if incidences occur
Strong communicator
Able to work independent and part of a team
GPS experience preferred
Experience with preforming regular maintenance on machines
Must have valid drivers licence
