Education Requirement: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Agriculture /horticulture education will be an asset.

Experience Requirement: 7 months to 1year of related experience.

 

Job responsibilities/requirements:

·         Manage landscaping projects of residential, commercial, or industrial clients.

·         Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses, and other purposes.

·         Visit client sites for regular maintenance.

·         Soil preparation, installation of sod, planting of shrubs, trees, seasonal flowers, and plants.

·         Familiarize with plant identification, growth habit and landscape designing concepts.

·         Maintenance of lawns and gardens by applying various treatments such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching of landscape beds, spraying, repairing damaged areas and injecting with treatment solutions.

·         Apply water, fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides and other lawn care products.

·         Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and disease.

·         Plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures.

·         Visit and survey client sites for client consultation, assessing the health of lawns, gardens and other softscape environments.
