Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20~$23/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 5673 200 street, Langley, BC V3A 1M7

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Create and implement childcare programs that foster children’s physical, mental, emotional, and social growth

·         Organize activities by reading or telling stories, teaching songs, taking children to neighbourhoods, and giving them the chance to express their creativity through painting, dramatic play, music, and physical activity

·         Create and maintain a setting that promotes children’s safety, health, and well-being

·         Assess children’s skills, interests, and needs, and talk with parents and other staff members about any issues that arise

·         Prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors after observing kids for indications of probable learning or behaviour issues

·         Encourage and help children develop healthy eating, clothing, and toileting habits

·         Create and uphold cooperative relationships with colleagues and the community

 

Job requirements:

·         Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
