Position Info:

• Position: Welder
• Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
• Wage: $36.00-$39.00/hour (depending on experience)
• Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
• Number of Positions: 1
• Work Location: 2944 Dickerson Place, Victoria, BC V9B 2G7

Benefits:

• 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

• Interpret blueprints or specifications to determine welding requirements
• Operate both manual and semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal structures used in glass installation
• Cut and shape metals using flame-cutting tools and machinery
• Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components used in glass installations
• Utilize metal forming machines such as brakes, shears, and bending tools to create or adjust parts for glass support systems
• Repair or reinforce worn or damaged metal components to ensure the safety and durability of glass installations

Job requirements:

• Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in a related field is required
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Language: English
