Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20~$22/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 103-3200 Westwood St Port Coquitlam V3C 6C7

Job Duties:

·         Create and implement child-care programs

·         Lead activities by reading or narrating stories and provide opportunities for creative expression

·         Plan and maintain a setting that promotes children’s well-being

·         Evaluate the children’s skills, interests, and needs and talk to parents and other staff members about any issues that arise

·         Keep an eye out for potential behavioral or learning problems in children

·         Help children develop proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other providers working with children

·         Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs

·         Oversee and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educator assistants

Job requirements:

·         Experience: Experience as an Early Childhood Educator is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
