Education: Secondary school or above

Experience: at least 1 year in the related industry is required.

 

Job description:

1.      Cut, tenderize, grind, and slice meats, including chicken, pork, beef, lamb, and fish.

2.      Use bone crusher, grinders, and slicing machines to crush bones, grind meats and slice cooked meats.

3.      Preserve meats and regularly check the freshness, quality, and preservation status of meats.

4.      Keep personal and environmental hygiene in working areas.

5.      Follows up with rules, regulations and other relevant laws guiding meat production and processing in Ontario.

6.      Maintain and clean meat-cutting machines to ensure they are clean and safe.

7.      Other meat-cutting-related works assigned from time to time.

Qualification:

1.      Completion of a program in meat cutting or experience as a meat cutter in industrial or wholesale/retails establishment is required.

2.      On-the-job training is provided.
