Overview
A private household in Ramara is hiring a Nanny to provide consistent, attentive childcare in a safe and supportive home environment. This is a full time, on site role focused on children’s daily routines, safety, nutrition, hygiene, and emotional well being. You will help keep the household running smoothly by supporting age appropriate activities, maintaining a clean and healthy environment, and following the parents’ preferred approach to routines and discipline. Optional live in accommodation is available at no charge, but live in is not a condition of employment.
What you will do
Provide direct supervision and care for children, ensuring safety and appropriate routines throughout the day.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks and support children’s regular eating routines.
Organize and lead age appropriate activities, including games and outings, to support development and engagement.
Support children’s personal hygiene and social development through daily guidance and routine building.
Discipline children according to methods requested by the parents and communicate concerns respectfully.
Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, including tidying and sanitation practices related to childcare.
Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, especially those connected to children’s spaces and daily activities.
Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, ensuring stability and continuity of care.
Work environment and physical requirements
This is an on site role in a private home that requires sustained attention, patience, and the ability to manage active days. The work includes standing, walking, bending, lifting light household items, and keeping up with children’s routines and activities.
