Position Info:

·         Position: Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $36.00-$37.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-44 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 151c Second Avenue suite C, Ottawa, ON K1S 2H6

 

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation

 

Job Duties:

·         Manage and oversee all daily food preparation and cooking operations within the restaurant

·         Plan and develop menus, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards

·         Advise and collaborate with customers for special events or menu requests

·         Estimate ingredient needs and assist with food and labour cost calculations

·         Supervise and guide cooks, and other kitchen staff

·         May plan menus and requisition food and kitchen supplies

·         Introduce and train kitchen staff on updated cooking techniques and new kitchen tools

·         Prepare and cook meals regularly, and handle special dishes for events

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience are required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
