Overview

•          Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and icings for a variety of baked goods including bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, pies, and cookies

•          Bake breads, rolls, and other baked goods in ovens, following established recipes and production schedules

•          Operate baking equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofing chambers, and slicing machines

•          Portion and shape doughs manually or using dividers and moulding machines

•          Apply glazes, icings, and decorations to baked products

•          Inspect baked goods for quality, consistency, and presentation standards

•          Monitor and adjust oven temperatures, baking times, and ingredient quantities

•          Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards in the production area

•          Clean and maintain baking equipment and work areas

•          Maintain inventory of baking supplies and advise supervisor of stock requirements

•          May train and supervise baking assistants and kitchen helpers
