Title of the Position: Medical Administrative Assistant

Number of Positions Available: 1

Successful candidate will be working alongside physicians and other health care providers to provide the following duties:

• Administrative duties:

o Answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful and efficient manner;

o Schedule and manage patient appointments;

o Update and file patients’ electronic medical records (EMR);

o Handle correspondences;

• Patient Care duties:

o Coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service o Arrange for laboratory and imaging requisitions for patients;

o Maintain electronic medical record (EMR), including the patient charts;

o Perform physician assigned tasks in support of patient care;

o Ensure confidentiality of patient information;

o Taking patients’ medical history

Skill Requirements:

-Completion of secondary school

-1 year to less than 2 years of work experience

Work conditions and physical capabilities:

Terms of Employment: This is a permanent and full-time position, 37.5 hours of work per week with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Language of Work: English

Wage: $23/hour

Vacation: 10 days
