Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 4890 Hastings Street, Burnaby, BC V5C 2K9

Job Duties:

·         Create and implement childcare programs that encourage and support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development

·         Take children to local points of interest and provide opportunities to express creativity

·         Lead activities by telling or reading stories and teaching songs

·         Discuss children’s progress or problem with parents and staff members

·         Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems

·         Educate children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate
