Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $24.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 940 Walfred Road, Langford, BC V9C 2P4

Job Duties:

·         Create and run daily activities that help children grow physically, mentally, and socially

·         Lead group activities like storytelling, singing, and crafts to keep children engaged and learning

·         Support children’s independence by teaching them how to eat, dress, and use the washroom on their own

·         Watch for developmental changes or behavioral needs and write clear reports for parents and supervisors

·         Keep the classroom organized by preparing snacks, setting up for lunch, and arranging quiet spaces for rest

·         Manage supplies and equipment by keeping track of inventory, ordering new materials, and making sure toys are safe and clean

·         Maintain a safe environment that prioritizes the health, security, and overall well-being of every child in the center

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 2-3 years of related experience is required

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certification: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
