Overview
Job title: In-home caregiver.
Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible / Split shift work schedule is required. Weekend work may be required. Job start is July 1, 2024.
Language requirement: French or English.
Salary: Wage offered is between $15.75 and $17 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate change for this field of work in Quebec.
Location: DeRa… lives in the city of Saint Lambert, in Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood. Public transportation is available
Duties may include:
1- This job is to help with the care of five children, ages 10, 6, 5, 4, and 2 years old
2- Change diapers for the youngest child
3- Bathe, dress and feed youngest children
4- Supervision of children when parents are not at home
5- Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
6- Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
7- General housework that will include doing laundry and some ironing.
8- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean environment
Qualifications:
1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education
2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver
3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision
