Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.20-$22.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 1964 Fairfield Rd., Victoria, BC V8S 1H4

Benefits:

Job Duties:

·         Prepare meals and specials according to set recipes and plating standards

·         Modify dishes to safely accommodate guest allergies and dietary needs

·         Manage inventory and keep work areas clean and organized

·         Prep stations by checking ingredients and equipment before every shift

·         Control portions to maintain consistency and minimize food waste

·         Instruct kitchen helpers on cooking techniques and food safety

·         Lead kitchen helpers to keep the kitchen moving during busy shifts

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 2-3 years of commercial cooking experience is required
