Location Winnipeg, Salary $31.00 hourly / 30 hours per week, Day Shift – Permanent employment Full-time

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year

Experience: Experience an asset

Responsibilities

Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
Inspect, test and repair cable signals and associated equipment
Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
Splice, join and connect wires
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver’s licence, Willing to travel

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail, Manual dexterity

Personal suitability: Judgement, Efficient interpersonal skills
