Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: Restaurant Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $25.00~$27.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 115-1199 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver, BC V7J 3H2

 

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare entire meals using provided restaurant recipes

·         Engage in menu planning, manage portions, estimate food needs and costs

·         Supervise kitchen staff and helpers

·         Oversee kitchen operations

·         Perform inventory checks and place orders for supplies and equipment

·         Inspect the kitchens and food service areas

·         Recruit and hire kitchen staff if needed

·         Train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper handling procedures

·         Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

 

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
