Main duties

•       Read and interpret welding process specifications

•       Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment for custom fabrication, repair or maintenance of vehicle body parts.

•       Operate manual or semi-automatic cutting equipment.

•       Operate brazing and soldering equipment.

•       Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machine.

•       Repair worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers, sanding off residue of welding joint or surface.

•       Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal

 

Employment requirements

•       Completion of secondary school is required

•       Three years of work experience or Completion of equivalent education and/or apprenticeship in welding
