TITLE OF POSITION: Home Support Worker

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Full-time (30 – 40 hours of work per week)

WAGES AND BENEFITS: $21.00 to $24.50 per hour (to be negotiated), 100% MSP and WCB Coverage

ANTICIPATED START DATE: As Soon As Possible

SKILLS AND EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

* Completion of a training program in elderly care or a related field; OR
* Elderly care or household management experience is an asset; AND
* First Aid and CPR Certificates.

MAIN DUTIES:

* Administer medications;
* Assist client with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene;
* Assist in regular exercise (e.g., walk);
* Launder clothing and household linens;
* Mend clothing and linens;
* Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties;
* Provide companionship;
* Provide personal care;
* Shop for food and household supplies;
* Prepare and serve nutritious meals;
* Cook;
* Maintain clean and safe work environment.

SAFETY AND SECURITY: Criminal Record Check and Medical Examination are mandatory.

OTHER NOTES:
* Position is for LIVE-OUT only;
* Work schedule will be split shift or will be arranged weekly based on the work schedule of the employers.
