Work location: 200 Nicol Street, Nanaimo, BC, Canada V9R 4T2

Currently we are urgently in need of two dedicated Motel Housekeepers. This position will be required to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms, laundry room and common areas within our motel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
·       Clean and maintain motel floors and furniture

·       Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.

·       Make beds, change sheets, launder sheets and towels, and distribute clean towels and toiletries routinely or may upon guests’  requests.

·       Clean, disinfect and polish bathroom fixtures and appliances

·       Clean and disinfect public areas such as kitchen, meeting rooms, hallway, lounge, and elevators

·       Check and maintain supplies such as toiletries and linens, stock and organize linen closets and other supplies’ areas

·       Wipe and disinfect door handles, railings, windows and other areas.

·       Pick up debris and empty trash containers.

·       Handle and report lost and found items.

·       Convey and report guests’ feedback or complaints

Skills & Qualifications
·       Completion of Secondary School.

·       Language requirement: No English/French required. Basic oral English and/or Chinese is an asset.

·       No experience required and training will be provided.

·       Experience in similar work setting is an asset.

·       Attention to details.

·       Good physical condition and work spirit.

·       Reliable and organized.

·       Willing to commit to a long-term employment.
