Responsibilities

  1. Change diapers
  2. Follow parents’ lead with toilet training
  3. Sterilize bottles and prepare formulas
  4. Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
  5. Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  6. Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens
  7. Bathe, dress and feed infants and children
  8. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
  9. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
  10. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children
  11. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
  12. Organize, activities such as games and outings for children
  13. Prepare and serve nutritious meals
  14. Prepare infants and children for rest periods
  15. Supervise and care for children
  16. Take children to and from school and to appointments
  17. Tend to emotional well-being of children
