Position Info:

  • Position: Sous-Chef
  • Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
  • Wage: $28.00~$36.00/hour (depending on experience)
  • Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week
  • Number of Positions: 2
  • Work Location: 1212 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, BC V5L 3X4

Job Duties:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty dishes
  • Plan menus and maintain food quality standards
  • Assist and guide cooks and other kitchen workers with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
  • Manage and supervise the daily activities and duties of kitchen staff
  • Create new recipes
  • May requisition food and kitchen supplies

 

Job requirements:

  • Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required
  • Language: English
