Samurai Sushi & Teriyaki is seeking F/T First Cooks

 

Position Info:

·         Position: Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $33.00~$35.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 208 Island Highway East, Parksville, BC V9P 2H3

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook dishes according to standardized recipes

·         Oversee kitchen operations

·         Keep inventory and records of foods and other supplies

·         Clean kitchen and work area

·         Plan menus, determine food portions, and estimate food requirements

·         Monitor and order supplies when required

·         Participate in hiring and training kitchen staff

·         Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers

·         Ensure to maintain high quality of food

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience is required.

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required.

·         Language: English
