Overview

Family of four looking for an experienced and reliable in-home caregiver to assist with the day-to-day care of two children (ages 7 and 9).

Duties include:

• Supervise and care for children;
  Take children to and from school, appointments, and other social and educational activities;
  Tend to the emotional well-being of the children;
  Assume full responsibility for the household when parents are traveling;
  Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the care of children;
  Shop for food and household supplies;
  Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision;
  Bathe, dress, and feed children;
  Discipline children as necessary, according to the methods we have agreed upon;
  Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development;
  Organize activities such as games and outings for children;
  Prepare and serve meals to the children.

Wage and Hours: 21.00 per hour/40 hrs per week/12:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Terms of Employment: 1 year with option for renewal; Statutory benefits are included; private health insurance available until employee is eligible for provincial healthcare; travel expenses/relocation costs covered by employer

Experience and Training required:

·      Completion of secondary school

·      Minimum 1 year of child care experience

Language: English

Weight Handling: up to 50 lbs
