Overview
Position Info:
- Position: Tile Installer
- Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
- Wage: $40.00 – $55.00/hour (depending on experience)
- Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
- Number of Positions: 2
- Work Location: 269 Lone Oak Place, Victoria, BC V9B 0X3
Benefits:
- 10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay
Job Duties:
- Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered
- Construct underbeds and install anchor bolts, cables and brackets
- Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting equipment
- Place tiles and apply pressure to affix them to the base
- Install tile strips
- Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
- Use levels, squares and straightedges to align and straighten tiles
- Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- May prepare cost estimates and orders
Job requirements:
- Experience:3~5 years of experience in related field is required
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required
- Language: English
