Position Info:

Position: Tile Installer
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $27.00 – $29.00/hour (depending on experience)
Hours: 30 – 40 hours/week
Number of Positions: 4
Work Location: 269 Lone Oak Pl, Victoria, BC V9B 0X3

Benefits:

10 days paid vacation per year or 4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

Prepare, measure and mark surface to be covered
Construct underbeds and install anchor bolts, cables and brackets
Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel
Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting equipment
Place tiles and apply pressure to affix them to the base
Install tile strips
Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
Use levels, squares and straightedges to align and straighten tiles
Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
May prepare cost estimates and orders

Job requirements:

Experience: 2~3 years of experience in related field is required
Education: Completion of secondary school is required
Language: English
