Kalsi Finishing Carpentry located in Surrey, BC is looking for a suitable individual for Carpenter Helper position to work across the Lower Mainland. The details are as follows:

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Wages: $25.00 CAD per hour

Duration of Job: Full time, Permanent

Main duties:

o   Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas

o   Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ladders etc. required at construction sites.

o   Assist Carpenter in construction activities

o   Assist Carpenter to secure/unsecure special attachments to equipment and provide assistance in other activities

o   Assist in aligning wooden structures, mouldings and perform related activities.

o   Level surface to fine grade specifications

o   Assist in demolishing wooden structures using prying bars and other tools, and sort the surface area

o   Remove rubble and other debris at work sites

o   Tend or feed machines or equipment used in Carpentry

o   Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

Employment requirements

Basic carpentry framing knowledge or previous experience as construction helper would be an asset.
