Responsibilities

Tasks

Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits
Develop budget to determine cost of food, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies
Evaluate daily operations
Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
Monitor staff performance
Plan and organize daily operations
Set staff work schedules
Supervise staff
Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
Conduct performance reviews
Cost products and services
Organize and maintain inventory
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
Participate in marketing plans and implementation
Address customers’ complaints or concerns
Provide customer service
Manage events
Manage kitchen operations

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
Supervising experience of 3 – 4 people with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Leadership qualities with experience in team management, interviewing, and staff development
Knowledge of food industry standards, kitchen operations, and food handling procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
