Laugh and Learn Children Centre is looking for a Full-Time Early Childhood Educator

Position Information

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20.00 ~ $26.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hour: 30 – 40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

Job Duties:

·         Plan and implement childcare programs to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children and operate at all times in compliance with all childcare licensing standards

·         Responsible for the constant supervision, security, and well-being of children

·         Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss problems/progress with parents and with management regularly

·         Observe and responds to the needs of each child

·         Recognize behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents

·         Assist and encourage children to learn proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Establish and maintain weekly and monthly activities

·         Maintain a collaborative relationship with co-workers

·         Perform other duties as may be assigned by management

Position Requirements:

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Certificate:  First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
