Position Info:

·         Position: Dental Laboratory Technician Assistant

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $30.00-37.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 943 E Hastings Street, Vancouver, BC V6A 0H1

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Cast gold or metal alloys to fabricate dental bridges and denture frameworks

·         Prepare wax bite blocks and custom impression trays for use in dental prosthetic procedures

·         Pack plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures

·         Fabricate orthodontic bands using metal and alloy materials based on prescription specifications

·         Prepare plaster models and molds for dental prosthetic fabrication

·         Mould wax over denture setups to simulate the final form and contour of the finished prosthesis

·         Finish and polish metal frameworks of dentures to ensure proper fit and aesthetics

·         Polish and buff dentures to achieve a smooth, natural-looking finish and ensure patient comfort

·         Sterilize and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with infection control protocols

Job Requirements:

·         Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
