Next Level Childcare Society Royal Bay is seeking Full-Time Early Childhood Educators

Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $21.00~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  6

·         Work Location: 200-345 Latoria Boulevard, Colwood, BC V9C 4L8

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

·         Extended Health Benefit after 90 days of employment

Job Duties:

·         Establish and implement child-care programs which support and promote children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development

·         Assess the abilities, interest, and needs of children

·         Discuss the progress or problems with parents and other staff

·         Plan and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, or taking children to local points of interest

·         Establish and keep the environment protecting children’s health, security, and well-being

·         Detect any signs of potential learning or behaviour problems of children, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor

·         Guide and assist children developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Build collaborative relationship with co-workers and community service providers working with children

Job requirements:

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate, and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
