Ask or Imagine Christian Children’s Center is looking for full-time Early Childhood Educators

Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $22.50~$24.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 6344 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, BC V5E 2V4

Benefits:

·         14 days of paid vacation per year

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Support and promote the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development of children by developing and implementing child-care programs

·         Plan and lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, or taking children to local points of interest

·         Provide children with opportunities to express creativity through various activities

·         Evaluate the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff

·         Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits

·         Detect any signs of potential learning or behavioural problems of children and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors

·         Keep an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children

·         Construct collaborative relationship with co-workers and community service providers working with children

Job requirements:

·         Education: College Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·         Language: English
