Overview

PICI Education and Immigration has an opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant in Richmond, BC. We are looking for someone reliable who is able to work with minimal supervision at our fast-paced company.

Job Summary
Position title:                   Administrative Assistant (NOC 13110)

Work schedule:               37.5 hours per week
Salary:                               $25 per hour
Benefits:                           4% vacation pay; 2 weeks paid vacation after one year;
Required language:        English

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet clients, answer their inquiries, and direct them to the appropriate office.
  • Respond to phone calls and emails, answering enquiries and resolving potential issues.
  • Receive, process, and deliver physical packages and forward emails to the relevant consultant.
  • Process client information and documents including intake forms, education credentials, and immigration documents in advance of meeting with consultants.
  • Maintain a digital and hard copy record of client information, ensuring the filing system is well-organized and confidential information is kept secure.
  • As lead administrative assistant, supervise the work of the other office staff, and train new office staff in company procedures as necessary.
  • Establish and revise as necessary office procedures and policies to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Prepare marketing material and presentations for events to promote the company.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for the General Manager and between consultants and clients to discuss education progress and immigration issues.
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • One or more years of experience in a similar role required.
  • Minimum completion of secondary school required.
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in office administration or related an asset.
