Duration of Job: Full time, Permanent

Main duties

 

·       Gather an abundant harvest of mushrooms, vegetables, fruits, and more.

·       Preparation of soil, planting seeds, weeding, grafting and bud crops; and transplant seedlings and rooted cuttings

·       Cultivating, irrigating, fertilizing and harvesting field crops.

·       Sort, weigh and pack mushroom, vegetables and fruits at the farm.

·       Load, unload and transfer boxes, crates, supplies, farm produce and products for packing and transportation.

·       Clean up workplace, including cleaning racks, trays, tables, harvest bins and general clean up of growing, producing and packing areas.

·       Follow food safety and security and animal bio-security procedures.

·       Examine produce for quality and prepare for market.

·       Assist in the maintenance of facilities and farm equipment and tools,

·       Perform other duties as per instructions.

 

 

Employment requirements

Basic farm knowledge or previous experience as farm worker would be an asset.
