Overview

We are currently seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Home Child Care Provider to provide attentive and nurturing care for our 2-year-old child. We are looking for someone who is patient, loving, and truly enjoys being around children. The ideal candidate should be gentle, attentive, and committed to creating a safe, positive, and caring environment for our child. We are looking for someone who can work for long term with us.

Salary: $23.00 hourly

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work setting: Employer’s home

Responsibilities:
Tasks
– Change diapers
– Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents
– Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
– Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties
– Bathe, dress, and feed the child
– Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents
– Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child
– Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home
– Organize activities such as games and outings for the child, including trips to the park and other age-appropriate recreational activities.
– Prepare and serve nutritious meals
– Prepare infants and child for rest periods
– Supervise and care for child
– Tend to emotional well-being of child
– Help child with homework
– Develop positive communication strategies with the child

A valid CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate are required. Experience working with children is preferred, as the position involves caring for a young child. A reference is required for security and safety purposes. The role may be physically demanding at times and may involve repetitive tasks, while requiring strong attention to detail.
