Position Info:

Position: Chef
Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $20.41~$25.00/hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week
Number of Positions:  2
Work Location: 702 Vernon Street, Nelson, BC V1L 4G2

Job Duties:

Prepare and cook foods of all types, either regularly or for special guests or functions.
Maintain records of food costs, sales, and inventory
Purchase kitchen supplies and ingredients
Manage and train kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food to diners promptly
Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
Recruit and hire staff included cooks and other kitchen workers
Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies such as food and ingredients
Supervise activities of cooks and kitchen staffs

Job requirements:

Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience as a chef are required.
Education: Completion of Secondary School is required.
Language: English
