Overview

Position Info:

·         Position: First Cook

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $28.85~$31.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 107 – 230 Cook Street, Victoria, BC V8V 3X3

 

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

 

Job Duties:

·         Prepare and cook entire meals or individual dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and quality standards

·         Plan menus and determine the size of food portions

·         Supervise kitchen helpers and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures

·         Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment

·         Order ingredients and kitchen supplies

·         Oversee kitchen operations

·         Participate in recruit and hiring process

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 2~3 years of commercial cooking experience are required
