Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $24.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 7577 Wallace Drive, Saanichton, BC V8M 1N5

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

·         Medical & Dental Benefit after 3 months

Job Duties:

·         Support the delivery of educational programs that foster children’s physical and social growth

·         Lead engaging activities including storytelling, singing, and supervised craft projects

·         Encourage creative expression through art, music, movement, and dramatic play

·         Assist children with daily routines like dressing, eating, and developing hygiene habits

·         Prepare healthy snacks and arrange classroom furniture for lunch and nap times

·         Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning equipment and organizing play areas

·         Observe children’s behavior and help educators document progress or developmental concerns

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Experience: 1-2 years of experience in childcare is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and ECEA Certificate
