Position Info:

·           Position: Early Childhood Educator

·           Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·           Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

·           Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·           Number of Positions:  1

·           Work Location: #301 722 Johnson Street, Victoria BC V8W 1N1

Job Duties:

·           Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

·           Foster and aid children in acquiring proper eating, dressing, and bathroom habits

·           Monitor children for indications of potential learning or behavioral challenges and generate reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors

·           Evaluate the capabilities, interests, and requirements of children and communicate progress or difficulties with parents and fellow staff members

·           Lead  daily activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs

·           Establish and uphold an environment that promotes the health, security and well-being of children

·           Create and uphold cooperative relationships with colleagues and the community

 

Job requirements:

·           Experience: Experience is an asset

·           Education: College Certificate or Diploma in early childhood education is required

·           Certificate: First Aid Certificate & CPR Certificate and E.C.E. Certificate

·           Language: English
