Position Info:

·         Position: Early Childhood Educator

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $20.00~$23.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30~40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  2

·         Work Location: 202-20395 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge, BC V2X 2P9

Job Duties:

·         Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts

·         Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children

·         Taking children for outdoor activities or field trips to local points of interest

·         Prepare reports for parents or supervisor regarding potential learning or behavioural problems

·         Guide children the development of healthy eating, proper dressing and toilet habits

·         Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

·         Maintain an environment to protect health, security and well-being of children

·         Co-ordinate activities of other ECE teachers and ECE assistants

 

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: Experience is an asset

·         Education: College Certificate or diploma in early childhood education is required

·         Certificate: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, ECE Certificate
