Position Info:

·         Position: Head Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00/hour

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions:  1

·         Work Location: 260 4 Ave, Kamloops, BC V2C 3N5

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Create new recipes and manage the menu while maintaining strict standards for taste and visual appeal

·         Lead the kitchen team by providing expert direction on cooking methods and workspace management

·         Execute full meal services and authentic Japanese specialty items during regular business hours

·         Conduct regular staff training on safety protocols and efficient tool operation

·         Evaluate ingredient needs and manage the ordering of necessary kitchen stock

·         Track expenses and inventory usage to minimize waste and optimize daily operations

·         Monitor labor and overhead expenses to implement effective financial planning for the kitchen

·         Modify recipes to meet specific guest needs regarding allergies or dietary restrictions

Job requirements:

·         Language: English

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required
