Position Info:

·         Position: Head Chef

·         Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent

·         Wage: $37.00-$38.00/hour (depending on experience)

·         Working Hours: 30-40 hours/week

·         Number of Positions: 1

·         Work Location: 19539 Fraser Highway, Surrey, BC V3S 6K7

Benefits:

·         4% vacation pay

Job Duties:

·         Oversee the hiring and daily supervision of the entire kitchen operations

·         Direct cooks on food preparation, garnishing, and plating standards

·         Track food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels

·         Analyze kitchen operating costs and performance data

·         Estimate the volume and cost of food and supplies needed for service

·         Train staff on new cooking techniques and kitchen equipment

·         Develop original recipes and seasonal menu items

·         Manage kitchen equipment procurement and maintenance

Job requirements:

·         Experience: 3-5 years of commercial cooking experience is required

·         Education: Completion of secondary school is required

·         Language: English
